Hooshang, Elnaz, Farzad, & Jimmy Vestvood!

Maz Jobrani came in as Jimmy Vestvood and joins us to talk more about the first ever Iranian American feature film of this type, crowd funded! This movie, if produced and distributed will be the most influential work todiminish the horrible connotations associated with Iranians.  If this wasn’t enough, Maz is throwing in perks for helping him make “Jimmy Vetsvood Amerikan Hero”, from signed copies of the DVD, personalized outgoing voicemail message by Maz, to getting a speaking role in the movie. The volunteers at Iranican also got their piggy banks together and are collectively investing $500 on the project. Link to Project

Before Maz, we welcome a former Iranican Live co-host, Behnoush Babzani to the radio show. Behnoush has since founded Project Marrow, and is currently driving a campaign to save the life of a 21 year old Iranian girl who is in desperate need of a Bone Marrow match. Matches are rare, but are likely to happen with genetically similar people, thus we are asking more Iranians to get their cheeks swabbed to get on the donation registry. In fact Iranican is hosting the next Bone Marrow Drive this Saturday in San Jose.
