Friends with Benefits II

For the first time, we are publishing a podcast on our off week to follow up the discussion that happened on our blog after our initial show here, recorded June 6th, 2011. Thank you for the 30+ comments.

Last week, we discovered that people engage in these relationships as a way to blow off steam and not have to worry about being emotionally committed to the person that they are sleeping with.  However, our guest expert helped shed some light on the fact that it is rarely the case that a friends with benefits relationship will end well. In this podcast we’re exploring:
Why our society glorifies casual, sexual relationships?
Are there serious consequences to having sex without an emotional attachment?
How can we establish more meaningful relationships that aren’t based solely on sex?

  1. well i have friend with benefits and we still maintain a good relation ship as a friend. i think it just a way not to make things complicated. Attachments are some times become a reason for a fight. if there is no emotional attachment then there is nothing to worry about. and i think the serious consequences comes when we want to really into a serious attachment like wedding. Because we often be in a position without any complicated things, then it is kind a hard when we want to get into something permanent.

  7. Iman jan mersi az javabet. Be har hal in faghat nazare shakhsie mane vali chon didam ke digaran ham aghide hastan ba man goftam ke comment bedam. hameye in harfa be kenar, man barnamatun ro khaili doost daram va az shenavandegan e paro pa ghorsetunam :). bazam mamnoon.

  8. make it full farsi and I am out; Your audience is iranicans, those iranians who have been living in US for a long time if not their entire life, as for this, we need a show primarily in english that sometimes uses farsi as well. Drop the english part and I am gone.
