On November 2008, California voters spoke loud and clear with the passage of Proposition 8: they want Marriage defined as between a man and a woman ONLY.

However, recent polls have shown that after the passage of Prop 8, the majority of Californians now support Gay Marriage, giving hope to those fighting for gay rights. (Source: San Jose Mercury News – link )

On our show this week, we invited pro-‘Gay Marriage’ Shervin Khorramian from the organization ‘Restore the Equality 2010‘, and anti-‘Gay Marriage’ Jane from Dublin, California.

What’s Prop 8 all about?

What is the difference between a ‘Marriage’ and a ‘Civil Union’? Why does Ali call the word ‘Marriage’ the ‘Jerusalem’?

Who’s right is it to define what Marriage is?

And stay tuned toward the end of the show for some discussions that probably should have been censored! (Sorry RadioJavan!)

  1. I am glad that Prop 8 was challenged. I am definitely not homosexual. Nevertheless I am close friends with people who are. I simply do not see what the big deal is about gay individuals having the identical legal rights we have.
