It has become such an important part of the college experience that we now have a mainstream TV series around it. Greek life, is one of the first out-of-class experiences which almost everyone is aware of, many participate in, and some take part in. So is it all binge drinking and parties, or are there real life lessons and values to be learned by joining the Fraternities and Sororities?
Does your school have an Iranian Organization? We dedicated a show on Iranian Organizations earlier this year, but some of the questions remain, what defines a successful Student Organization? One that attracts the most amount of people, or one that provides actual culturally informative events? What are examples of good activities Iranian Student Organizations could take on?
Iranican’s tips for University Life, here are some in writing, listen to the show for the rest, and if you have other tips, add them on our blog.
I. (Girls Borrowing Cloths) Make sure you let your roommate know if they want to borrow any articles of clothing, they must ask you first before they can borrow it, and they must return the clothes in the condition they found them (washed and ironed)
II. If you don’t live on campus, don’t come home right away. Find things to do on campus
III. Join or at least try some Clubs Habitat for Humanity, Intramural Sports, etc
IV. Take or Sit in different classes than your own major that may sound interesting
V. Find the good places to eat on campus, most campuses are surrounded by great inexpensive eateries
VI. Try to get
Student Discounts everywhere with your ID
VI. Use
RateMyProfessor.com & talk to upperclassmen about the classes/professors
VII. Get on the professor’s good side by sitting in the front of the class
VIII. Save Money on Books, buy online at addall.com, abebooks.com
IX. Don’t rush out of school unless you really can’t afford to stay
