Video | Iranican Reports

If you haven’t watched Iranican ReportsTM: Tirgan Part I, you can click here.

The third and fourth days of Tirgan were much more eventful, often having a few simultaneous events. We  highlighted some of them in the video above.

Iranican LiveTM had a chat with Jian Ghomeshi (CBC Broadcaster) and Mehrdad Ariannejad (CEO of Tirgan Festival) Iranican Live also discussed the selection of artists at Tirgan, specifically the fact that it did not include LA Pop singers. You can listen to the podcast by clicking here.

  5. Iranican Responds Says:

    Maryam Jan,
Thanks for taking time and leaving your feedback. Iman is first a champion Alak Dolakist, second, a host of Iranican. Check out his biography in Team Iranican. He’s an MVP on Iranican’s Alak Dolak club team here in the Bay Area, unfortunately we can not afford to pay him so instead we feature him in our videos. Meanwhile all we can do is either look for someone who is at least as good in Alak Dolak or look for donations so we can just pay him off. Your help or anyone else’s in either of those two areas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks again.

  10. Vahid from cologne Says:

Iman seems to know a lot about iranian culture! I think Iman should work as the director of the show and let others do the report.
It’s a pity that other iranian stations didn’t show up or somehow do such reports like you guys!

    greetings from Germany

    Vahid

  11. Radley Says:

2 quick notes to mention here:

    1) Iman is a great reporter although he does not do his job professionally. He is very funny and spontaneous and I personally enjoy watching his reports

    2) That classic or traditional music is very boring. I tried to understand and enjoy it several times but I did not find it anything but uninteresting. Or maybe it is simply not my type. I think in such festivals, where Iranian youth attend, they should forget about classic music and focus more on recent music to make it attractive.

  12. saeid shanbehzadeh Says:

  13. zk Says:

(off the topic, my idea of Iman’s work on Iranican):
Iman is the leader a team like Iranican needs. He knows both Iranian and american sides. and his strength is not just because he has grown up in iran. He is concerned about Iranian culture and in his reports he does not only cover the event itself but also tries to address how new generations are connected/disconnected from their original culture.

Back to this report, I did not get why you recommended the santoorist girl try a new sabk. and why you had to put it on the final report? maybe you should change your reporter! :)

  14. Bobak Says:

  15. Behnam e. Says:

the behind the scene sponsor of “tirgan” festival was islamic regime in iran. do not forget that mehrdad ariannezhad is a cultural ambasador of the islamic government, he also is member of board od directory of the al mahdi center in toronto.

I loved the choice of music and the editing of the second Tirgan clip. It was nice and exciting. I also loved the graphic design that grows on the pictures. It made it beautiful and professional. Great job..
